This question gets asked a lot. And, in most cases, it’s typically a nice way of asking if Matt will perform “something other than card tricks."
While Matt does perform some amazing card tricks, none of them are like anything you've ever seen before. No cliché "pick a card, any card" tricks here. Instead, you'll experience things like a playing card being clearly torn into pieces before being impossibly restored in the blink of an eye or the face of a playing card being burned into the palm of Matt’s hand.
Beyond card tricks, Matt is also a professional mentalist that can reveal things that would be impossible for him to know about you. He can guess your phone pin code, predict the future and perform many other unbelievable feats of mindreading. As a master sleight of hand artist, you also won't be able to pull your jaw up off the floor when you see the impossible magic tricks he can accomplish with things he borrows from you like rings, bills or cell phones.

With the prevalence of online magic retailers, anyone can now go online and buy a few magic props just like they can buy a nice digital camera or a laptop and speakers. But, just like the photographer or DJ you hire, when hiring Matt Szat Magic, you are paying for a professional service backed by nearly two decades of experience.
When hiring Matt, you are hiring a top-rated professional magician that uses magic to create a truly memorable experience filled with Instagram-worthy “WOW” moments. As a magician who has worked 1000s of different types of events and venues, he can fully customize his performance to meet your needs and also effectively manage any changes or issues that might arise prior to, or on the day of, the event.
Magic is also a unique form of entertainment that can be impacted by a variety of factors. While having 100 guests vs 50 guests, or having guests standing vs being seated at a table, might not impact a DJ or photographer that much, it greatly impacts the type of magic performance that is possible.
All of this is, and other details like, how far Matt needs to travel to the event, are factored into the rate you pay. There are no surprise charges, everything will be clearly listed up front and agreed upon before anything is officially scheduled.
You can get a free quote by contacting Matt directly. Please include as much detail as possible like: the type of event, approximate date and time, anticipated venue and estimated amount of guests. From there, he will work directly with you to develop a custom experience tailored to your specific needs.
Matt's schedule fills very quickly. The average client books anywhere from 2 to 8 months in advance. In many cases, people re-book Matt, right after his performance is over, to return for another event a year or more later.
While it's strongly suggested to book as far in advance as possible, there is always a chance Matt has an opening in his schedule for last-minute bookings. Please reach out as soon as you have a potential date in mind. Even if all the event details aren't ironed out, the date and time are the most important parts that need to get locked in.
Please note that weekends book quicker than weekdays, especially in the summer. The weeks of popular dates and holidays like Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (4th of July) also book up well in advance. Holiday party magic shows and Christmas party magic shows during the holiday season (mid-November through New Year's Eve and New Years Day) start booking as early as September.
All shows are taken on a first come, first served basis. A small performance retainer fee is required to lock in your date and time. This fee is factored into the total cost of your show.
